Calgary Rakushinkan offers traditional Japanese martial arts instruction in the Winston Heights area of Calgary, with classes held at the Winston Heights–Mountview Community Association Main Hall.
Our training includes Aikidō, Japanese sword methods, and traditional training designed to develop coordination, confidence, awareness, discipline, and technical skill through structured partner practice.

A Spacious Training Environment
Classes are held in the Main Hall of the Winston Heights–Mountview Community Association at 520 27 Avenue NE.
The training space provides:

The Winston Heights–Mountview Community Association facility is a well-established community venue serving residents since the mid-20th century and continues to host recreational and community programming today.
Winston Heights classes:
Martial arts classes are held at this location on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings.
Sunday hosts a 2 hour teen/adult class with focus on koryu practice - Daito Ryu aikijujutsu, Itto Ryu kenjutsu and Mugen Shinto Ryu iaijutsu.
Kids Aikido is held here on Monday evenings, followed by a teen/adult Aikido class.
*Note that these programs are not separate from our classes held in Mount Pleasant.
