Martial Arts in Mount Pleasant Calgary
Calgary Rakushinkan offers traditional Japanese martial arts classes in Mount Pleasant, Calgary, at the Mount Pleasant Community Association on Wednesday evenings.
Our Mount Pleasant dojo is one of Calgary Rakushinkan’s primary training locations, offering structured instruction in Aikidō, Japanese sword arts, and traditional budō for children, teens, and adults.
We offer two programs at the MCPA. The children’s and adult program listings are available on the MCPA Programs page.
We welcome beginners and experienced martial artists alike. Training at this location includes partner practice, solo movement, traditional weapons work, and technical instruction designed to develop coordination, balance, awareness, discipline, and long-term martial skill.
Mount Pleasant classes:
Martial arts classes are held at this location on Wednesday evenings.
Kids Aikido is held here on Monday evenings at 5pm, followed by a teen/adult Aikido class at 6:15pm.
*Note that these programs are not separate from our classes held in Winston Heights.

A Dedicated Calgary Dojo Community
Calgary Rakushinkan teaches traditional Japanese martial arts in a non-competitive environment.
Students train through carefully structured exercises, partner practice, and progressive technical study. Beginners are welcome, and no previous martial arts experience is required.

The hall’s central North Calgary location makes it accessible from both inner-city and northwest communities being convenient for students and parents travelling from Tuxedo Park, Crescent Heights, Capitol Hill, Highland Park, Winston Heights, Rosedale, Cambrian Heights and more.
